Our second book is a much quicker read than Book 1 and one that has fewer central themes. I really think that you'll enjoy this lighthearted business fable with a very strong message.
I'd make one further recommendation about reading this book. It is best told in audible format. Not that you won't get the meaning by reading, but it's so much easier to digest as a told story.
Let's get started.

So glad this made the list for recommended book to read... the ideas are radical, but make complete sense. And I actually have a lot of real world experience employing these ideas. Excited to see what people have to say about it. Enjoy!

A quick and interesting read. While I expect most people who are good at retaining clients already practice a lot of what the book preaches it is still useful to see it from different point of view.
For me the central message of the book is Get over yourself - be humble, and deal with your clients as fellow humans on a level playing field.
Interesting that this book also ends by explaining how to get past fear which will hold you back - the same message Think and Grow Rich gave us.
Also reaffirms that old piece of wisdom about the customer always being right - and how to deal with them diplomatically when they're not!
Overall a good use of a couple of hours - I'll certainly reread the last section a few times and try to put it in to practice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I've often viewed my willingness to be vulnerable in both business and personal relationships as a weakness, no I know it can be a real strength. This book has reassured me that being honest, listening, remaining humble, working hard and truly caring about your clients is a sure fire way to gain business, retain that business, and build a referral engine.
I've not run into too many small businesses that really embody many of these principles. I look forward to implementing them in all my projects moving forward.

I just started the book, but a big thank you to Joe for recommending it in the audible format, it is fantastic as an audiobook and I am making up excuses to go in the car just so I can listen to more of it. I am definitely going to get more biz audio books.

So glad that you're enjoying the audible version. For me it was just easier to grasp the central message.
Also excited to see what ideas come of it for your businesses. I'm talking to you too Aaron. :)
