Anything You Want - Derek Sivers

The latest from the Domino Project this book is a must.

Inspirational from start to finish it will take you 90 minutes or so to read - you won't often learn this much in an hour and a half.

    I totally agree Simon.
I read it and shot Derek and email to say thanks.
Of course, much like Seth, he responded almost instantly.
I really appreciated his approach to happiness.

It's sitting here on my 2nd desk looking at me. I guess I'll have to read it now that you say so, Simon. : )

I couldn't agree more Simon (and Joe). Like all Domino Project books it's short and sweet and full of take-aways. I too shot Derek an email after reading it and got a speedy response back. He seems like a real genuine guy.

The passage that stood out to me the most was the "Obvious to you. Amazing to others." It prompted me to write this blog post last week. http://aaroncurtis.me/under-your-nose

It sure wasn't your typical business book. He thumbs his nose at so many things that seem counter-intuitive, yet his belief in just doing what makes you happy and taking incredible care of his customers made CD Baby a huge success. Pretty crazy story about how wanting to sell your own CD online turned into quite the little business.

I've heard a couple of interviews with Derek Sivers this week which you might also enjoy:

I had intended to buy the book and I've just been on to the kindle store and downloaded as it's only 90 minute read. Looking forward to reading it and thanks for the recommendation!

Read the book yesterday. Great read! I'm now pondering on which question to ask him in an email
